YES . Even though the blood is obtained from voluntary blood donors, the cost of collection, screening, processing and storage has to be borne by the recipients. Jeevan is a not for profit organization and is dependent on this income and donations for its functions. Inspite of this, many of our services are provided free of cost to disadvantaged patients. For instance, we provide blood components free of cost to the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital and Institute of Child Health & Hospital for Children, Egmore .
